麁上煩惱、 剛石堅塊隨水而去,
Worried about the trouble, the stone block went with the water,
猶有麁沙纏結。復以 水灌,
There are still tangles in the sand. Refill with water,
麁沙隨水流出,
The laksa flowed out with the water.
然後生金,
Then produce gold,
猶為細沙、 黑土之所纏結。復以水灌,
It is still tangled with fine sand and black soil. Refill with water,
細沙、黑土隨水流 出,
Fine sand and black soil flow out with the water.
然後真金純淨無雜,
Then the real gold is pure and no impurities,
猶有似金微垢。然 後金師置於爐中,

然其生金猶故,

如彼生金除麁沙礫。

淨心進向 比丘次除細垢,

謂親里覺、人眾覺、生天 覺,

思惟除滅,

如彼生金除去塵垢、細沙、黑 土。

淨心進向比丘有善法覺,

令心清淨,

猶如生金除去金色相似之 垢,

令其純淨。

比丘於諸三昧有行所 持,

猶如池水周匝岸持,

為法所持,

不得 寂靜勝妙,
Don’t be silent,
不得息樂,
No interest,
盡諸有漏。如彼金師、 金師弟子陶鍊生金,

除諸垢穢,
In addition to the dirt,
不輕、不軟、不 發光澤,

屈伸斷絕,

比丘得諸三昧,

不為有行所持,

得寂靜 勝妙,

一心一意,

盡諸有漏。如鍊 金師、鍊金師弟子陶鍊生金,

令其輕軟、不 斷、光澤,
Make it soft, unbroken, shiny,
屈伸隨意。

比丘離諸覺觀,

乃 至得第二、第三、第四禪。如是正受,

純一清淨,
Pure and clean,
離諸煩惱,
Away from troubles,
柔軟真實不動。於彼彼入處,
Soft and real. In the other side,
欲 求作證悉能得證。如彼金師陶鍊生金,
Desire to testify can be obtained. If he is a goldsmith, the chain is gold,
極令輕軟、光澤、不斷,
Extremely soft, shiny, and constantly
任作何器,
Whatever it is,
隨意所 欲。如是,
Feel free to do whatever you want. If so,
比丘三昧正受,
The bhikkhus are suffering,
乃至於諸入處悉 能得證。」
Even the admissions can be proved. "
佛說此經已,
Buddha said this,
時諸比丘聞佛所說,
When the news of the bhikkhus said,
